Steak, Kidney & Mushroom 370g
Topped with Shortcrust Pastry
Our local butcher hand dices our beef; to this we add kidney, oil, sliced mushrooms,
plain wheat flour, proper onions, (peeled and diced by us!) a small amount
of red wine, thyme, salt and pepper and of course water.
We do not add anything else other than cooking skills.
Chicken & Chestnut 370g
Topped with Puff Pastry
We use free range ’Label Anglais’ chickens which are first poached then picked by hand.
We use the cooking stock mixed with French chestnut Puree,
butter, wheat flour,sherry, salt and pepper.
The result is a rich tasty sauce
with large chunks of fresh chicken.
There are no chestnut pieces in this dish.
Pork, Plum & Celery 370g
Topped with Puff Pastry
In oil, we first fry off crushed coriander seed, then add hand diced pork, onion,
celery, water, tinned plums and some plum juice, together with
bayleaf, salt & pepper. To give this dish the zing that marks it
out we add a reduction of brown sugar and white wine vinegar.
Trawlermans 370g
Topped with Mash Potato & Cheddar Cheese
Smoked haddock (natural), Cod, Coley, Prawns and Scottish Salmon gently
poached with onion, bayleaf, thyme and peppercorns. The sauce is made from
the poaching stock with milk, white wine, salt & pepper, butter and wheat flour.
Very simple, but fresh and delicious.
Vegetarian 370g
Topped with Shortcrust Pastry
We use a delightful mix of diced fresh vegetables, lentils & haricot beans
cooked in vegetable stock & finished in a herby tomato sauce
to produce this luxurious vegetarian pie.
Thai Green Chicken Curry 300g
We use diced chicken breast, beautifully balanced spices & coconut
to make this mild and wonderfully fragrant curry
Lamb Isabella 300g
Persian style, very mild, slightly sweet curried Lamb. A mix of Korma style spices
with garlic, onion, tomato paste, mango chutney, thyme, bayleaf, salt & pepper.
Beef Bourguignon 300g
The classic red wine beef stew. We add mushrooms, bacon lardons, garlic,
button onions, brandy, flour, thyme, bayleaf, salt & pepper.
All products are available in
1kg or 2kg vacuum packed bags to put into your own dishes.
We also supply the pastry or mash to finish the dish off.
